“More Than Design: A New Order of Design” Trophy Design | 2021 SDA — Taiwan Design Best 100
ORDER — A State of Freedom: (To) the Ordinary Greatness Around Us
This trophy design begins with the idea of constructing order through accumulation. Starting from everyday materials and familiar objects, we explore how simplicity can generate richness.
Using acrylic as the primary medium, we developed 20 variations of colored sheets and graphic compositions, layered and stacked to reveal a sense of pure yet diverse expression. Rather than defining a fixed form, the trophy is designed as an open structure that invites interpretation.
It aims to inspire recipients’ imagination, allowing the object to be integrated freely into personal daily life, while also serving as a commemorative piece of a specific moment in time.
At the same time, the design reflects the spirit of SDA — Taiwan Design Best 100, highlighting diversity, innovation, and the evolving value of design.
