Longgong is located by the Qixingtan coastline in Hualien. The name is said to have originated when the owner was thinking of a name during a heavy rainstorm—surrounded by rain, she felt as if she were submerged underwater. The owner describes Longgong as a café with a free-spirited, elegant character—unpretentious yet full of charm.

Longgong’s brand identity is developed from its existing spatial and visual elements. The temple-style gateway at the entrance functions as a key visual reference, marking a transition from the everyday environment into a distinct interior experience.

The identity system preserves the hand-drawn underwater dragon and a unique composite character created in the early days of the café, in which the character “宮” is intuitively embedded within “龍.” This distinctive glyph was retained and integrated with the gateway motif to form a cohesive and recognizable visual system.

The same design logic extends to the coffee gift box, where illustrations derived from hand-drawn marine creatures were refined into the primary graphic language of the “Urashima Taro” coffee gift set, allowing the brand identity to translate consistently across products.
